I have a question. I have about 150 empty once fired 243 cases that I want to size up to 260 rem., is there a article or book out there for resizing brass?
Or do I just do what some have said and just run them through a 260 fl die with plenty of lube on the case?
I have never done this I always just buy some cheap ammo and save the cases for reloading but I have these and don't need them for the 243 because I have around 300 loaded up for that rifle.
Any and all serious comments appreciated. THANKS

I've never resized 243 to 260 but I'm pretty sure you can do it with a FL 260 die. You might see if Redding makes a tapered expander ball in .260. That should make it easier.

That works fine - use an expander mandrel instead of the die. BUT......in my experience, you're going to get "doughnuts" on those cases by about the thrid firing........ I used lapua brass necked up to 260. I would try it on about 20 cases before I went whole hog on it.....
1. rund the cases over the mandrel to neck up.
2. F/L size with 260 dies to get proper neck tension

Sometimes the first time doing this you'll have high runout on the cases but they straighten out on the frst firing/forming. I would wait to trim/chamfer until after fireforming - then get the necks uniform.

and if you don't already do this-anneal those cases before you start to size them up. That should help them survive the up-sizing, and keep the necks from splitting later.
