Hello all,

As you can see this is my first post on the forum. Needless to say, I'm not up on all the model numbers for Savage rifles and need a little help with choosing a bolt action 308.
I previously owned a 12FV (I believe that's the model) in .308, it was a heavy barrel 308, and a nice shooter !

Can you tell me what the difference is between: 14/114 American Classic (http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/14AMERICANCLASSIC) 10/110 International Trophy Hunter XP (http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/10InternationalTrophyHunterXP) 10/110 Trophy Hunter XP (http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/10TROPHYHUNTERXP) ????

Are they the same rifle ? Same rifle but in a package with a scope ?
Does savage make a stainless model like the Am Classic with walnut ??
What is the nicest hunting rifle in the "american classic" configuration ?

They all have 22" barrel and 1/10 twist and look the same on the website. Savage offers the 1/10 twist in the 308, which is what I'm after.

Thanks !!

Sooner

The Model 14 has a blued barrel and action, and a walnut stock. The Trophy Hunter has a matte finish and does not have a walnut stock. Also the 14 has a top bolt release while the has bottom trigger guard. There maybe some other differences, but those are the first to come to mind.
