I just got one of these and have a question. It is a G prefix action and has a 7/8" barrel nut. I have read on here that a G prefix is most likely a large shank. However, I have read that a 7/8" nut is a small shank. So my question is which do I have, large or small shank?

The " G " has nothing to do with the shank size. The target actions aka PTA, the LRP models and some of the larger magnums are large shank. If yours is a 112 in all likely hood it is a small shank if it is all factory condition.

Yeah I read the G thing wrong on the thread. It said "If your WSM or RUM rifle has a serial number with a "G" prefix, it is most probable it will have the larger shank." I didn't pay attention to the WSM or RUM piece.
