Anyone have any experince using Barts 68 gr bullets in the
6 mmbr with a 1 in 8 twist..Been using the berger 68 gr.

But am hearing a lot of talk about the Barts bullets...In fact
I was talking to a guy that wins a lot with them, but not
sure of the cal.he is using...Just a short conversation...

I understand they are fantastic in the 1 in 14 twist...So may
not work for me...Or wouold I have to use a lower MV t0rom over
keep from over spinning them.??:o

How have the Berger 68's been doing? I would think that performance would be similar, at least twist-wise.
ETA: I'm curious because I have a box of 1000 Berger 64 gr " BR column target" bullets to try in my 8 twist for 100-200yd shooting. I'd like to have some idea how (badly) the fast twist will affect them. Won't have a chance to find out for myself for awhile.

barrel nut, The 68 Bergers work great with H4895....I am looking for other bullets
incase I can't locate the Bergers....And I do think the Bergers are over priced as
well...But that is only my opinion...I have not tried and other brands....Well,I did
try Sierra 107's with some success, but not a fair test..Only tried a couple of different
loads..And only had one box of them..lol

I shot this five shot group this morning using Bart's 68s and 33.6 gr of Varget. The barrel is an 8 twist McGowen.

How far are you guys taking the 68gn bullets out? I know they're not for long range, but is 600yd doable?

Rich, That's the beauty of the 8 twist 6BR. It stabilizes all bullet weights well. At 600 yds. I'd prefer a bullet in the 105 gr. range. Not saying a 68 gr isn't do-able just not the best alternative IMO.
