I know that the Remington rear enty action wrench fits the Savage, but does the Port entry Remington wrench work as well? I can't think of why it wouldn't, but I just wanted to get another opinion.

I haven't used one for a Savage or otherwise, but I can't see why they wouldn't work. The only drawback I can see is the handle length might be a little short to get enough oomph on those "snug" nuts especially if your one that tightens them till they strip plus two turns. ;D I wouldn't attempt using one on a factory install, but for swapping pipes around I don't think they would be a problem.

Thanks Bill, that's pretty much what I thought. I'm not a "tight nut" guy. I go hand tight, then snug things up with the nut wrench. I have an action wrench for breaking loose the factory nut, so like you said this is just for swapping at the range. Thanks again.
