As many of you know, I've been a bit challenged as of late and have been forced to sell off many things to try to stay solvent--including my beloved custom axis 308. I have a friend that lives in the Boca Raton area in FL who bought it and he's new to rifles, though he has some knowledge of handguns and has an CCW permit. He doesn't know where he can go to shoot even 100 yds. near his area, and I thought I might ask the fine members of this group if they have any suggestions. He's also interested in taking up hog/deer hunting in the FL area. Let me know if you can help him and I will PM you his contact info.

Try here http://wheretoshoot.org/index2.cfm I have an app on my iphone for this page. They list many but you have to check each to see what the range offers. All he has to do is check the ranges description and it will say what they offer as far as range distances and such. I did see one of them "Palm Beach County Long Arms Shooting Range" phone number 561-233-0255 in Loxahatchee, Florida has a 300 yard range. I'm not sure how close that is to your friend? Maybe by using that site he will find something closer? I live in Northwestern Pennsylvania so i'm not 100% sure of his area. Hope this can help him. Also, good luck with all the challenges you are going through.

If he doesn't mind a little driving, here's place I go to for a full day of shooting for only 10 bucks. They have 50, 100 & 200yd. They're supposed to be putting in a 325yd line - if it isn't in already.

Thanks guys, you're the best! I'm forwarding all this info to my friend. He was formally a golfing addict--but as soon as I mentioned shooting was just like high-speed golf, he was hooked. lol.

Golf?

What's a golf? Besides a little ugly car made by Volkswagen?
The only time a guy should play golf is when he's too old to shoot guns any more.
