Found a 110 long action in 223 at a gunshow today. Older 110, unmolested, with the light varmint 24" barrel. Probably a 1:12 twist barrel and adjustable sear (did not pull the action out of the stock). Price was negotiated and the new to me rifle is in the case now.

If this would have been a Rem 700, the price would have been $550...and probably sold at $500.

I will keep buying, building, and shooting Savages....and keep the extra funds for scopes, scope rings, and powder!

Cool deal. Always good to find another action to build on, especially if as it sounds like in your case, it's in a caliber you're already looking for. I've been fondling a top-release LA in 30-06, which is currently on sale for $350, new. I don't have any long actions, and would like to have one, and .30-06 would work. But I really don't NEED another rifle. But it sure is a good deal, hard to pass up. I may snag it yet.

barrel-nut - have been and will be in the same situation. The other thing to remember, raw material for your future needs, will probably never be as plentiful or priced as well......as right now. :)
