hehe, my 338 rum in a junk bin wood stock(pillar bedded of course), 28" mcgowen, recoil pad out of a junk box that doesnt fit the stock, badger rings some dipwad painted then sold cause they cerrakoted the bearing surfaces(PITA to remove, but cheap), SS10XHD

muzzle brake install this week, shoot her soon! finally!

waitin on Stockade stock, but gotta shoot it now!

Great caliber choice!

Are you going to shoot it first before you put the brake on so you can compare the brakes effectiveness?

mebbe a few times. have fired some reduced loads in it to break in the bbl a bit, need to pump it up, but cant find the powder i want to try first locally.

Did you have to get a new magazine box to fit the 338 RUM? If so, where'd you get it from.

nope, this started as a rum action

however, w Lapua b408s im .070 off the lands when loaded to the max length for the box. if i need to i have an idea for a slightly longer magbox a sheetmetal buddy can make that wont require any action mods. if it shoots ok w the jump i wont bother

Some people see a 3 tone rifle in that pic, I see an assemblage of quality parts that has a lot of potential for great accuracy. Who gives a shit what it looks like.

Something I've noticed is that good shooters (the firearms, not the ugly bastards behind them) are seldom pretty. If a gun shoots, it gets shot often, and if it gets shot often it usually has a lot of "character."
