I won a Savage 110 Tactical in 25-06 on Gunbroker. It came in a laminated stock. Anyone have any info on these rifles? I did some searches but didn't come up with much. The stock has a few dings but the rifle doesn't appear to have been shot much. I plan on putting a nicer scope on it and using it off the bench at 100/200 yds.
Thanks, Ken

By the pics I would say you have a 110 tactical that someone put into a BVSS Savage Factory stock. The action is a Long Action Staggerfeed with the flat rear. Barrel should have the 1-10" twist.

be sure the tang and barrel are free floating and that the scope bases are not loose. Mount your optics and you should be good to go to the range.

Good luck.

Yep, it's a 110 FP in the wrong stock.

They nailed it. Bvss stock with a 25-06 tactical. Very nice find. Check to see what trigger is in it and see if its been bedded.

Tactical on the bolt dates it pretty early. Not necessarily a bad thing. I would check the trigger on it (should be a 3 screw) since it's used and make sure the spring has some arch in it and is properly adjusted, also that it has some sealer (nail polish) or something to ensure that the screws won't adjust themselves under recoil.
It should shoot very well. I have a 110FP that's a little later with a staggerfeed mag and accutrigger in 25-06 and I like it a lot.
I sure wish Savage would offer the old style LE package guns again with the Pelican case;Harris bi pod and Leupold Vari X3 like they did around the same time yours was made. I remember looking at the catalog and drooling but at $800 MSRP they were just sooo expensive LOL

If its three screw you are in luck! Put a lighter spring on it and adjust it you'll have one heck of a cheap great shooting great looking gun

Thanks for the responses. I didn't think the stock was original but it sure looks good. I'll check the trigger and see what is on it. The trigger is light, I won't have a chance to try it out for another few weeks. I have 90 gr and 100 gr Prvi ammo plus some Hornady 117 gr ammo. I also ordered dies(redding deluxe set) and 3 boxes of Sierra 100 gr SMK's to reload for the rifle.

i bought a 25-06 Heavy barrel off a member here, a sav 110. It is starting to shoot good with those Nosler 100 BT with 49 of Re22. I put mine in a spare Stevens 200 cheap stock just to check it out. I really like your stock.
Best of luck, it should shoot very good.
