Ok. This is what I want to do. I want to convert a savage 110 or 111 to a 300 win mag. I know I need a long bolt and change the bolt face and modify the magazine well. What I want to know is if the receivers are the same. I read someone thinks they can convert a 243 to 300 win mag by changing the bolt, bolt face, and barrel. Surely that is not true.

The savage 110, and 111 are long action rifles and either one can be converted to a 300 wm by changing the bolt head, and the barrel, and magazine. I just got done with a 111 hunter xp in 7mm rem mag, and converted to 308.

Ok. I thought the guy was full of it. If that is the case then I will look for a good used 110 or 111 and build a good tack driver.
