I cannot wait to retire.

I knew an older gentleman that frequented the pool hall I shot tournaments at who would pull this same joke on anyone "new" that walked in. He'd line it up with a big story about a beautiful lady, then ask if they wanted to see a picture of her. He'd dig out his wallet and pull out an ad clipping of 'Pride' and 'Joy'!

It's the boredom.
It gets to the best of us.
Take it as a warning. Set up a few more hobbies before retirement so you don't lose your marbles.

I need to seek out a source for more marbles. Maybe we can get a group buy ?

Group buy?
We'll need to rent a U-Haul truck to bring them all back.

Here....
Let me show you my other Pride & Joy -

Picked it up about a month ago. I've only popped off 3 rounds with it so far. Been too busy with "family business" lately.
It's a brand new Romanian. Prices finally came down a bit on these so it wasn't quite so hard to sneak it past the 'lil woman. When she found out about it I tried to tell her it was for her birthday. It didn't work. Her birthday is in May.

You have my sympathy.
And just because I don't want to rub it in I won't put up the 5 other pride and joys I have.

Of course, it could be worse. You could be a faithful servant of the Empire of Massatooshi...

Jeeez, when I looked at that my eyes started hurting. I think you just assaulted my eyes. No wonder they're on the list of scary assault rifles. Tell ya what I'm a gonna do just for you, only, and I say ONLY with emphasis, ONLY because I'm a nice guy.

Go ahead over to the Atlantic Firearms site and pick yourself out a nice AK or even a nice AR and have it shipped here to my address. I'll make sure it's still in the box, patiently awaiting your arrival to have some fun with it.

I've been looking at a Yugoslavian N-PAP or another WASR-10. Go ahead. I dare ya. I double dog dare ya...

Gotta go back to work. I'm trying to finish my summer project by the end of next week.
Famous last words....
"Sure... We'll have it done by next week..."

You may have to come off retirement so you will have time to shoot again. I use to run with the AK's with a Hellfire kit in them, back in the early eighties.....those were the days but they are long gone....

Tell ya what....
I'll be glad when this project and move is over. This is the hardest I've worked in a year and its killing me. I worked on the renovation until sometime around midnight - last night.
I'm stopping home to grab a bite to eat and close my eyes for an hour or two so I work late again.
In about 2 weeks I'm going to perform a magic trick that is so difficult, only a handful of us are capable of it.
I'm going to fit 1350 sq ft of house stuff in a 700 sq ft cottage. We're looking to see if we can get it televised. Maybe pay per view or something.

So much for weekend relaxation.

I am wanting to say that I wish that I was closer so I could help you but that would be a lie. I really, really hate moving....but Hoping everything goes smoothly and as planned for you so you can get back to the retired routine.:tea:

Actually, I enjoy being back in the game.
For about 2 hours each day. Then I feel like going back into relaxation mode.
But, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. I keep reminding my self this move is one step closer to moving out to our swampland area. Besides, somebody's gotta take care of the mother in law. It's come down to my wife & me. My brother in law is a waste of good breathable air.
Sometimes, just sometimes I wish I could use him for gator chum.
Only sometimes.
Back to work. Running another late one.

If you start feeding them, they become a nuisance. I was talking about the gator, not your brother in law. Good to see your developing a soft spot for him.My neighbors have got a pasture full of new to them pigs. It won't be but a couple of years and I'll most likely get a chance to hunt them here if it's like anything else they've tried to keep fenced in. Take care,Ivan

This covered bridge is still in use, Newfield, NY. It's certain to be their pride and joy.

Lots of old covered bridges thruout the N E still in use. One in Bucks Co PA near the town of Newtown in Tyler state park
known as the Scofield bridge, was rebuilt about a decade ago to its original after being burned by vandals years before.
All the hemlock logs for the rebuilding of which there were many, came from our camp property in N C Pa and donated in memory of my late brother.
