I have a savage short action I am thinking of using for a 7mm SAUM target rifle.
QUESTION: If I use the magnum short action savage bolt assembly, which is controlled feed, can I single round push feed the cartridges into the chamber without damaging the extractor or causing other problems ? I generally replace the magazine with a single round slide.
