model 6d conversion from tube to box?

hi, my 6D is missing a proper lifter and the mag tube is bent, so while looking at it, i thought, why not convert to mags? it looks like a conversion could be fairly easy. any ideas/experience?

Can probably be done but finding the mag well and inletting it properly would be the hard part, I'd personally just pick up another tube and lifter for it from Numrichs.

with the aid of a forum member, i located a proper lifter, acquired it and a cartridge guide spring and put it together. the lifter functioned as it should, however, the guide spring made it so hard to load a round that i wished i hadn't spent the 35 or so more dollars on it. tube mags, like in lever actions are cool, but this style is lame. anybody know if a model 60 mag housing is easy to adapt and if it will work?
