Hello all, new to the forum, great to be here! I have a question for ya that im hoping someone can help me with. Im in the process of purchasing a new rifle from a private seller. He tells me that the Rifle is a Savage Model 11 LRT (long range tactical) He then states that the gun is rare and has been discontinued. I cant seem to find any information on the Model 11 LRT. Everything I can finds point to the Model 12 as an LRT (of some kind) Can anybody validate what this gentleman is saying? Thanks for the help!

Does this have muzzlebrake? Did he give you any information on the year it was discontinued or any paperwork? I am fairly new here, but I couldn't uncover anything on the Savage Arms site or anywhere else relating to an 11 LRT model. From the picture is looks a lot like the 11 LRH which you can see here http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/11LONGRANGEHUNTER with some manner of paint job.

I am sure one the more seasoned members will chime in here shortly, but my bull**** meter did go off!!
