My problem is I have a 3X12X56 Zeiss victory divari with talley high mounts. I am out of room for adjustments it's shooting high.do you think I should try

going with another base ring combo?

Can you get away with low mounts? I would think your scope would have enough adjustment... Have you checked your rings? How about your rail?

They have to be the wrong mounts from what I can find out the wide mount should be in the front but it wont work.

Is the receiver flat or round in the rear ? If it is flat, one base should be flat on bottom to fit rear. If receiver is round on both ends, both bases will be round on bottom. Also, if you have round back both rings should be same height.

You could level the rifle, then place a level on the scope and get an idea of whats going on. If it's going downhill, you'll shoot high.

I am thinking Savage should tighten up their QC. Every Savage action I have (3) needs Signature inserts to get the scope anywhere close. The one I am messing with now has +20 and -20 to raise the front and +20 and -20 for windage and I am still nearly out of adjustment with a Sightron 36X. AND, yes, I have them in right!. With 0's in and the scope adjustment set in the middle, POA was 18 inches high and 15 inches left at 25 yards. I have a Tally 0 MOA base and Burris Signature Zee rings, not exactly a cheap set up!

Get a one piece, 20moa or 30moa base and grab some new rings. I have my savage 12 in 6mm-284 zeroed at 400 yards and I can adjust out to 1250 yards. Just play around with it but whatever you do get the next level up from the base/ring combo you have in terms of their MOA rating.

Call Talley 803-854-5700, by chance do you have the part # for the rings you have.

bsekf, With this scope/ring/insert set-up, your Savage would be shooting 72 inches high and 60 inches left at 100 yards!! (If I did my math

right). If you don't mind a suggestion, if it was my rifle, I'd be calling Savage YESTERDAY to have it reworked. SIX FEET HIGH AND FIVE

FEET LEFT @ 100 YARDS. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!! YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS! WHAT'S GOING ON AT SAVAGE? Do I

now start to doubt all of the positive write-ups about Savage in the firearm publications?
