What contour do I have/need

Howdy, I'm new to barrel swapping, please forgive my ignorance. I have a model 11 in 22-250. I want to make it a 300 blackout. Is the current barrel contoured same as the Blackout barrel at Gun Shack? They descibe as a McGowen Sporter contour. I don't want to have to do a bunch of inletting, would rather get a stock if I have to. Was hoping to do this in steps. Barrel and bolt head now, stock later if needed/warranted. Thanks

The McGowen sporter contour is close enough to the Savage sporter barrel that you should not have to do any inletting.

Thanks! On a different tangent, is there a better barrel out there? Will mainly be running subs with a can. Figure bolt gun is the way to go for maximum quiet.

McGowen is as good as any for what you want to do.
