View Full Version : Who makes a lugged 20 MOA base for me?

I'm looking to find a LA, flat back base with 20 MOA (or some preferred, flat will work though) that has an integral recoil lug. Does anyone make this? As close as I can find is a 20 MOA base with 8-40 screws, but then I have to pay to have the receiver altered.

This brings my next question. Is a 7MM RUM enough recoil to be considering these things, or will a standard base with #6 screws be fine?

A quality standard base (like an EGW) properly installed should be fine on a 7mm Rum....

As I understand it, the Weaver Tactical one-piece (#99494) has a lug. The Farrel FG-Force series also seems to have a device to clamp the mount to the receiver.

I'll have to dig deeper into the Farrell. The website shows them not being full pic rails on the flat back style.

That 99494 Weaver is for a round back.

I have a standard one-piece base (EGW I believe) on mine and have not had any problems.

Thanks. That seems to be the consensus. I'll go with standard and save a few bucks.
