Hey,
I recently stumbled on an older savage 114 in .270win. The wood was walnut with pressed in checkering, schnable forend, factory rubber butt pad, adjustable front and rear sights, flat back/round front (drilled and tapped), and detachable mag with side release button. The barrel is marked Savage 114 .270 win. From some research it appears to be a Savage 114 Classic Ultra. Does anyone have info on this model? When did they produce them? Do all the Savage parts rules apply? Any help is appreciated!
Either way it followed me home for 300 bucks. It will serve as a loaner rifle and back up for elk season.
