recoil pad screws

I want to replace the recoil pad on my savage 10, it would be nice to know what head is on the hidden screws before i damage them ! on the partfinder it just says

SCREW, SOFT RECOIL PAD, SYN STK (TOOL 3) - PN: 106588



can anyone help with the correct driver bit ?

#1 Phillips. The screws in my 12BVSS laminate stock were tight.

I've never encountered a butt pad screw from any gun that wasn't phillips.
