Is there any diffence in just the action, In other words if I buy a 110 or a 110e rifle and scrap everything but the action to start a build, do I have the same action?

Thanks in advance,

Doug

Nope. However, Savage never was one to throw out a pallet of parts when things changed over. Sometimes you get a mix of styles and therefore one can NEVER guarantee things like "if its a 223 then its a short action" or "if its a RUM then its a large shank". The list goes on.

E means economy. The stock may not have been the best or the finish was not quite 100% as deep etc.
Depends on the year as well. A 110 made in 1982 will have different parts than one made last week.

If I remembr right I think Fred Moreo once stated that the letter designation after the model no. only denoted the current use changes in that model. Memory is hazy on that so jump in Fred if I am wrong.
