Hey guys, hopefully my barrel will be in soon and I'll be putting together my first build. Ill be using my new 280AI for extended range deer hunting....thats the plan anyway. Ive been looking around the area of 4-16 power scopes, and I like the taller turrets for ease of adjustment. Ive glanced at a few of the leupold, vortex, and such. Im not wanting to skimp on optics but I also dont wanna go broke on them either lol, maybe somewhere in the 4-700 range. Just curious if there are any particular scopes you all use or others one I could take a look at. The same with scope bases, I like the idea of the one piece rings and bases but have never used them so I'm open to suggestions, pros and cons of those.
Thanks
Scooter

I'm kind of on the same mission at the moment. Leupold vx-2 comes in a 6-18x40 version. There's options with taller turrets as well. Around $500

I like that viper option though...
