Hello all
Im fairly new to rifles (especially bolt actions) so I come to you guys for a little guidance. I recently purchased a Savage 10 FCPK (308) and now Im in need of a base and rings.

Rifle: 10 FCPK in 308
Scope: Bushnell ELITE6500 4.5-30x50 http://www.bushnell.com/hunting/rifle-scopes/elite-6500/elite-6500-4-5-30-x-50mm,-mil-dot#

Im wanting to buy a Seekins Precision base and rings ....

1. Base: https://www.primaryarms.com/Seekins-Precision-Picatinny-1-Piece-Rail-for-p/0010720001.htm
- does the rifle take #6 screws and will this work with the 10FCP-K ?

2. Rings: http://www.seekinsprecision.com/parts-and-accessories/scope-rings/scope-rings-30mm-tube.html
-Im wondering if the 0.87" Medium rings will work or if I should go with the 0.92" Medium High.

Any feedback you can provide is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the 10 FCP-K ...I have the left handed version and it is a great rifle...it took me awhile to find a load I really liked but once I did she settled right in and when I am on my A game is a capable 1000 yard rifle.

My rifle wears a 6-24x50AO Swift Premier, I went with a EGW 20MOA rail with low Warne Maxima rings (the height of the rail allowed for low rings), I have several rifles wearing Warne and EGW pieces and am very happy with them....I don't have any Seekins stuff so can't speak for or against them.

Your gonna need the OD of the 50mm end to see if it will clear the 20MOA base.. My 40mm OBJ was 52mm outside.. so I needed the 20MOA base an

I used http://www.mil-rad.com/scope_ring_calculator to figure the needed ring height..

With your info put in.. it appears the 0.87" rings will still get you 10mm over the barrel.. so PASS.. the .92" rings will put you 11.37mm over..

The Seekins Low (30mm) rings at 0.82" would be ideal at 8.83mm over the barrel.. YMMV..
