I've got a pre-accutrigger model 110 30-06 and wanting to convert it to 6-06. I'm a savage nut I only own one remy. Got guys sayin' I need a high dollar Rem 700 based action. I would love to stay with my Savage action. What all do I need to do to customize or strengthen it if I even need to do anything at all. Probably goin' with a 1.25" 1:8 Twist Hart barrel as well. Any thoughts or ideas?

If you go that route, you might want to look at they AI version but either way it makes for a awesome round, I shoot 55gr to 107gr out of my 12 twist you can't go wrong, and "Boots" another forum member has one also.

Yes I have one also, I have not had much time to play with it as my 6-WSM has had my attention the last couple of range trips, but the 6-06 is showing me good potential, and feeds nice and smooth with a nice positive feel that makes me believe that once I get a load ironed out it will be my go-to 6mm hunting cartridge and the 6-WSM will be mostly target work. Necking down 25-06 brass is a simple single pass through the FL die. A 10" or 12" twist should do you just nicely.

I have a 6-06 26" 1/8 Twist it is heavy varmint SS so far I have so far only broke the in part way. I was loading Speer 75 Gr HP I have chronograph at 3700 fps no sign of pressure signs.

In making my brass for it, I annealed my brass, which I was using was LC 3006 brass.
First I ran it in .270 dies, then size them in .25-06 my last step is to fl size it with my 6-06 dies. I will take my outside neck turner so I can clean up the necks, then it's off to the loading bench to load up.
Just my infor
