my friends son killed this boar with my model 14 in 250 savage loaded with 100 gr tsx died right there. he is mature we went ahead quartered him up. will the meat be fit to eat if so any ideas

Looks like a nice hog!!!
Yeah, you can eat em but you need to wash them off really good before you skin em. And keep the meat on ice for 5 to 7 days.
Don't want what's on the outside of em to come in contact with the meat and the ice draws the blood out, does away with the gamey tast.

how did it taste? i usually wont eat a boar up if its balls have dropped or if its over 150 lbs ish, they can taste pretty strong! but the little guys and the sows are awesome

My friend boned him out and soaked him in ice water but we had to freeze the meat we plan on grinding it for breakfast sausage and canning it since it has been frozen. The pic of the bullet is the 100 gr tsx this is only the second I have recovered very deadly bullet
