Axis recoil pad loose?

How do you tighten these things up?
The square tab protruding through the top of the stock has some play in it.
Rear swivel stud is tight.
Functional, but aggravating nonetheless.
Any good ideas?
This is my first post....looks like a good place to be for Savage guys.

Welcome!! Mine have always been pretty solid but you could take a pair of needle nose pleirs and loosen the swivel stud pull out the recoil pad and reseat it. If after that it still has to much play you could always use some JB weld and try and tighten it up.

maybe take it out and strategically place some tape around the inside of the recoil pad to tighten things up and eliminate your wobble? i only had mine off one time and that was to fill the stock with packaging peanuts to tone down the noise of the hollow stock. be careful of that plastic clip though because they do tend to break easy and then your left with a square hole on the top of your stock.
