I've got a LA stagger feed action. Are stocks different for center feed vs stagger? If so, how can you tell which stock is which.

the centerfeed stock will use an "L" clip which fits into a narrow channel to hold the mag in the stock. see pic.

Thanks for the picture. So can you convert a center feed stock to accept a stagger feed?

Yep. I changed a laminate center feed stock to a stagger feed. Had to route out the magazine cavity a little on the barrel side, as the stagger feed mag is further forward.
