Axis Boyds Magazine Fitment?

Before I dive into fitting the mags into these Boyds stocks anyone have experiences to share?

Obviously sand a little check fit repeat until fit is exceptable.

But I wonder if removing ample material and putting down a fine layer of epoxy or fiberglass would be worthwhile? Wood seems kinda sticky and rough from the factory. One more then the other here. Thoughts and experiences requested.

Maybe file/sand and finish with some old school Johnson's paste wax? Would probably be a good compromise. Less sticky then oils and less effort then grinding and bedding.
