I had a 22-250 12 FV that did the exact same thing. I fought with it for a while, then sent it to savage. The replaced the barrel, then it shot dead on with 5 shot groups in the .2's Then my dumb ass sold it. ::)

I received the rifle back from Savage this week
They replaced the barrel
The test target they sent back with the rifle was .8 at 100yds
I got to go to the range and it definitely is a keeper!
Shooting less that 1 inch at 100yds and seems to be getting better with each round.
Thanks again everyone for the help

Glad to hear yours is working. Mine is a no go. I've tried a leupold mark 4 scope, some 69 grain match prvi partizan, different rings, flipping the rings around etc etc. The rifle just shoots way to far left and low. I run out of windage adjustment but elevation is not a problem. So I'm calling savage tomorrow. Is there anyone in particular I should ask for in particular at Savage arms?

JW what was the turn around time on your rifle?

Most any of the CS reps can help you but if you think they are confused ask for Effie Sullivan or just hit ext.6 when prompted and ask for her right off the bat.
Oh by the way the phone no. is 1 800 370-0708.

I agree with Froggy, I talked with 3 different persons through out this and all were very helpful
The person I initially talked to was Eric
it was about 7 weeks total time on the repair ( 2 weeks of that was shipping)
The wait was well worth it!!
