It's a lot easier if you have a bullet in particular in mind, or at least a bullet weight range in mind, since 6mm bullets range from 55gr to 115gr.

Varget and the 87gr V-Max is a great combo. The 10GNS I had in 243 really liked it.

I would try Varget with the 87, 80, and 70gr bullets you list. Varget seemed to treat me well in all the 243 and 243AI's I have loaded for so far. FWIW I have had great luck with RL19 and RL22 with the 100gr bullets in several different rifles, just in case you need a deer load in the future.

What's your twist rate? My 1-8 loves the 95 gr vlds, most accurate load I own. And 4350 and varget would both work there in the right range of burn rates. Go to IMR or hodgton website
They have good load data

If its a factory barrel, it should be a 26" (measured from the rear of the chamber to the crown) and a 1:9.25" twist as that is the standard twist for Savage's 243 barrels.

You are correct ,its a 1 : 9.25" twist. And 26" barrel. I just measured from the brl nut sorry. Just got it and am getting started to re-load some ammo. It should shoot as good as my LRP .260. Thanks for the help guys.
