Pre-accutrigger Model 12FV 22-250 twist

Does someone know the twist rate on the barrel on a pre-accutrigger Model 12 22-250? It has the varmit 26" barrel.

It should be a 12 twist.

It should be, but some have said that Savage did make a few with a 1/9" twist. I might have to call Savage!

Do you have access to the gun? Do you have a cleaning rod, patch and a tape measure?

Stick the rod down the barrel with a patch on the end. Measure how far your rod has to travel to rotate one full turn.
