Is there an easy way to replace the recoil pad. A flat style would be fine would get length of pull down to where wife can shoot. Asking because I have a tendency to make square pegs fit in round holes and I don't want to screw it up. If there isn't a way what parts do I need to order to make boyds stock work?

As far as Boyd stocks swap over there are a couple recent threads on this site that cover it real well with part numbers too. I'm sure someone can post the link I dont know how. I have a 11vt 243 and am wanting to switch stocks also.

Thank you, kinda hoping to be able to swap out recoil pad to something very thin. Trying not to spend more on stock yet until I put scope on. Have rails and rings ordered, now need to order scope.

Hi, I want to shorten the factory tupperware, I guess 1/2'', however I'm not sure if I go with a shorter recoil pad or something more drastic, like cutting the rear end 1/2''...

Look simular to the Axis stocks. Pretty sure a couple of posts on the boards where its been done. Most likely involves a good cutting saw, belt sander and expanding foam, epoxy and a heat gun or hair drier to soften the plastic tab holding the pad on if ya just want.to take it off and have closer look before cutting it. Could just teach her to hip shoot till ya find a youth stock! J/K well kinda.
