So... my Father just dropped off my Grandfather's guns to hand them down to me. One is a savage. Model 3A. I need two parts. A trigger guard and screws for the trigger guard, and the stock/action connection screw. Any idea where I can locate these parts? Originals would be fantastic, but reproductions will be fine if originals are unavailable.

Amazing that Numrichs is sold out of those parts, you could try Bobs gun parts or keep your eyes on Ebay.

Alrighty then, lets try Jack First gun parts or Outback gun parts next and see if you can find it there.

Un freakin believable that there were so many of those single shots made and nobody has parts for them

You might have to try up here in Canada soon at Western Gun Parts, they might have something.

No they don't.

The model 3 alone had 9 different variations without even getting into the 4's and 5's.

The 3A would have had a bent steel trigger guard and it changed to a pot metal cast trigger guard when it turned into the 3D, not sure when or if the 3 ever used the plastic trigger guard but I know some other models did use plastic.

Anyways if he is going to order one he can't just say for a 3, 4 or 5 or he might get the wrong trigger guard. Probably get the right one if you ask for the bent metal guard though.
