I'm wanting to shoot silhouette and eventually some other competitions but I was wondering if the FCP HS would be to heavy for sihouette ? I've been trying to find a weight with scope and didn't want to take savages word for the weight. So any help would be great. Also, which would you rather have for various do all comp gun the fcp hs or the FCP-k.

Thanks!

I own both of them. Id say the hs is lighter

I am not sure what is involved with silhouette shooting, but I have the FCP HS with steel rings and steel base and it is a heavy pig. A buddy of mine has the FCP-K with aluminum rings. I didn't weigh them, but they are pretty close to the same weight, but I suspect my HS is heavier. One slight difference is that the K has a beefy muzzle brake and that throws the center of balance about 4-5" closer to the muzzle. So the HS feels more balanced. Also, if it matters the bolt release button is different between the models.
