Looking to get the Predator Hunter Max 1 in .243 caliber soon. I noticed from the photos it looks to have Weaver mounts. I don't much care for Weaver rings. Recommendations for other rings would be appreciated. ..Talley Perhaps?

Same gun here. I went with DNZ on this gun and now that's all I use. Mine LOVES the 105 berger and hv100.

I ended up buying some Burris Signature Zee rings late yesterday. I'll use the supplied Weaver mounts for a while and see how I like them. I think they'll work ok. Good looking rig there, BTW. A ground hog's nightmare for sure. Never having had a 243 before I suspect it'll shoot bugholes.

Love this gun. Don't sell it short on groundhogs. It hammers whitetails...from afar.

HV100, that's a new powder to me. I would have thought more on the order of 4350 or 4064 for this caliber. Guess I need to do a bit more research.

First powder I tried with these bullets. That's as far as I got!
I also use this powder with 105 amax.
The rest of my line up:
75g Sierra 3031
85g Sierra IMR 4350
87g VMax h4350
100g Sierra GK IMR 4064

I was wondering if that rate of twist would stabilize the heavier bullets. Good to see it does. Berger bullets seem to be hard to come by in this caliber but, my quest continues. I have all those powders so that won't be a problem. The Hornady LNL Modified cartridge for this caliber is about non-existent.

It does in mine. It doesn't work for some.
You can use a fired case and tap it out. My brother sent me a tap for this but I already had all my cases. If I could remember where I put it I could tell you the size.

No fired cases as yet. Maybe I can find one on ebay if all else fails. Most likely they'll have every caliber but this one.
