Since Brass will no longer ever be made, and for new brass I'll have to form it down from 7mm mag brass would it be considered a wildcat? I would think definetly not since it's a 50 yr old cart. and not something new and never before developed. The work for new brass to use is similar to a wildcat but I guess my trusty old 6.5Remmag is just "obsolete".

Don't feel bad, my 350 Remington Mags are in the same boat.
I stocked up a couple of years ago, so I have about 550 rounds of brass for it.
I wouldn't consider it a wildcat, but RCBS will sell you a set of dies for the same price as a wildcat, and if you want brass you have to form it same as a wildcat. If it waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck it must be a duck......

I am currently on the bubble as to whether or not I will build a 6.5 Rem Mag or a 6.5 WSM If I go WSM I will have at least a hundred twice fired brass and a couple of boxes of factory 120gr ammo that I will be selling.

I may also have some unfired brass. If you are interested send me am email or a PM and we can talk. I also have Redding dies for that cartridge.
