Campdude, which short action did you order? 110, 111, and will factory box mag work?

any mods to get the recoil lug to fit? Thanks.

It's a 2997 - I just picked one up in a different color for my Hog Hunter. Sadly it's going back since the wrist angle doesn't work with my arthritis, but it's a top quality stock.

Just ordered one. Hope the wrist angle works. I’ve never used a stock like the B&C Medalist before.

Txhillbilly, which Boyds stock did u use? I just one for my Axis II and love it. Boyds said they do not make one for the hog hunter. I assume you did some fitting work to it? Thx.
I have two Hog Hunters and would like to put a Boyds Laminated stock on one but was told they don't make one for the M11 Hog Hunter, If a lot of hog Hunter owners request Boyds make one maybe they will consider it!

I ordered this one because I wanted to convert to DBM. I also had to open up the barrel channel to accommodate the contoured barrel and make some room for the DBM metal. Very little work on the recoil lug.

When I wanted to do a build up the hog hunter was an obvious choice. It already had most of the features I wanted from a factory rifle. The rifle itself though was **** hard to find in my area. I'm very pleased with it.

I seem to remember last year they were asking for the use of a hog hunter to use to make a stock. I offered mine and never heard another word from them.

Rooster 50: I did that same thing this Past January (2015). No response either.

It's an MDT LSS chassis. Hogue grip, Fab Defence GL Shock stock and a milspec buffer tube. Havnt had a chance to even sight it in yet. Too busy and **** cold! I shot it twice in its factory form just to check the function then tore it apart. Its been a winter project.

Standard action & barrel, take-off Savage non-accustock (no idea which model!) EGW rail, Redfield Revenge 2-7x32 in the cheapest QD rings I could find, Accurate Mag DBM & $20 eBay break.

And this is what it'll do at 500yds...http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y110/robtattoo/Mobile%20Uploads/20150325_135334_zpskgcpqbbx.jpg (http://s4.photobucket.com/user/robtattoo/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20150325_135334_zpskgcpqbbx.jpg.html)

When I posted on page 4 of this thread with my new Hog Hunter, a muzzle brake and a scope were all that I was going to do. An aftermarket stock was not even on my wish list. Oddly enough, a Bell & Carlson Medalist/Varmint stock was the first thing I did, then I put a scope on. Still no muzzle brake and I have about 160 rounds thru it and I just love shooting this gun. The stock makes a big difference. The gun started out stock at 7 ½ pounds, it now weighs 12 pounds. Takes up a tad bit of the recoil.

Hey, I've got a new Hog Hunter coming in, and I thought that having no box mag would just be a fact of life.

So many of you HH guys replacing stocks, modding magwells to accept (insert acronym here), and throwing around lots of abbreviated lingo, bottom metal, etc.--would someone please take a minute to describe to a noob HH modder what I need to know about transitioning from a normal stock to a stock with a mag? Do you guys fit the HH aftermarket stocks for different KINDS of mags? Anyone have one that just takes AR-10 mags? I'm here to soak up your knowledge about this concept.

ive been eyeing a .223 hog hunter for awhile now, going to make it happen soon unless i find a deal on a tikka varmint.
I really wish bell and carlson would make this stock for savages, I emailed them and they said no plans but check back on the first of the year.

A HH in one of these stocks would be **** near perfect for what Im looking for, not really wanting to shell out the dough for a Mcmillan yet.
