I just got off the phone with Jim at Northland. Everything I've ever read here about him and his business is spot on. I couldn't have spoken with a more pleasant human being.
I've ordered a Shilen Select match 308 barrel...not an easy thing to get. Jim called Shilen as to the status of an order he placed back in October 2013, and there will soon be a few of those barrels available. He's having one of those few cut for me (small shank, S8 profile and 11* crown) He's also having that barrel shipped directly to me from Shilen when it's ready, and sending out my new barrel nut and lug now. This is customer service at it's absolute best.
I'm so overwhelmed with Jim that I just had to post it. It was like talking with an old friend.
