I have a Sav 10 predator max Lefthand in 260 Rem , I am looking at the possibility of rechambering to 6.5 saum . I under stand that the bold head will have to be replaced and and other than that I am not sure about barrel removal since it is lacking the jam nut that other Savage rifles have . Any info is appreciated

Are you sure it is lacking the nut, or that it just has the newer "smooth" nut that doesn't have the notches for the wrench? If it is the original barrel then that is what you should have. Factory Savages do not use a shouldered barrel.

Ahhh so that smooth ring is actually a nut ! now how is it removed ? (pipe wrench) or can the barrel simply be put in a barrel vise and the action spun off ?
I have worked on Remington actions in the past with great results , This gun is new to me in design and I absolutely love it . It is the caliber that is lacking.
Where is a good place to purchase a magnum bolt head ?

I got the Wheeler wrench and it came with a wrench that clamps onto the smooth nut, worked so well that I'm going to reuse the smooth nut, after some honing to true it up.

As the Ranger said, Wheeler makes a wrench for the smooth nuts or you can remove it with a pipe wrench and the replace it with a regular nut with the notches. That's what I would do if there was any chance you would be changing the barrel again in the future. I would recommend one of the Trued Barrel Nuts from Jim Briggs at NSS. They are the nicest ones I've seen, but you can use a regular ol' factory one as a replacement for your smooth one as well.
