I was out shooting my new gun today and had 6 missfires out of 50 rounds. The rounds are my reloads. The primers were struck but has shallow firing pin strike marks. I have been reloading for 35 years and have ever had a missfire. Anyone ever hear of this?

Being reloads, was the brass shot in this chamber before, shoulder may be bumped to far for chamber. Primers may have not been seated all the way. Both of these will cause light strikes.

Short probably has it right. Curious about case shoulder measurements prior to firing compared to post firing. Barrel may not be headspaced correctly either. To test, just put a piece of scotch tape over the end of several cartriges and see if the bolt will close. (BTW please do this outdoors and in a safe enviroment) If the bolt closes on all of them, you need re-headspaced. If the bolt closes on some of them, possible too much shoulder bump.

Being a new rifle I would think you have your resizing die adjusted improperly.
