I am considering buying one of these but am wondering what I will be giving up with the shorter barrel. Velocity? Accuracy at longer ranges? I do shoot to 200 yards some times.

I can't recall where I got it from, but seems like the factor of 75 X caliber is ideal.
Example, 75 X .22 = 16.5", 75 X .308 = 23.1" , etc.

Its a 22LR, you're not going to get a ton more velocity from a 20" or longer barrel.
Had no issues with CCI SV @ 300yd through my FVSR, though AutoMatch and MiniMags needed something like 2 mils less elevation.

Nothing sweeter than the sound of steel at 200yds.... ding
Depends on what scope you have. Might want to consider a EGW 20MOA base.
