PS. Link to the overhaul of Russian rimfire I am working on. Still in precess, but mostly finished. Similar plans for a SAVAGE stock.

i think they have been getting some bad reviews because of some trouble they have had in safety of the barrels

Where is more info on that? I'd be interested in that situation.

Sorry got my info mixed up, It was CVA that had barrel troubles and then went to Bergara barrels.

Believe it was Bergara barrels that CVA had the problems with. Think there was something posted by Randy Wakeman about this some time back, of course my memory could be wrong (again).

Bell you are right. CVA uses the Bergara barrels. Wasn't it the muzzleloader barrels that were splitting? I know CVA had a big recall on some of their guns because of this.

I just remember reading some stuff quite awhile ago. Like I said my memory is that it was a connection betwen the 2 but I cant recall just what it was. I'm sure if you surf around a bit you can find stuff on it.

I remember Randy doing a write up on the CVA barrels being a safety problem.

CVA and Bergara are one and the same.
