Rear sight

I'm a new guy here but I am looking forward to all the info available. I have my dad's old model 24B-DL that has a broken rear sight. I've that some of them are on dovetails and some of them "crimp" on? Is the right? I'm going to replace it but the only one I can find at Numrich appears to be dovetailed.

Got a serial number range so I can look it up in the catalog?

Never seen a crimp on one before but that's not saying Savage never made one.

Actually I own a 24 DL and I just went and had a look at it and the rear sight is dovetailed on.

Do you have a picture of where your rear sight is or can you take one for me?
