Savage ANV Model

Do any members here own one, they are chambered in 300 savage, I hear about one once in a while but have never seen one, or even no anyone who has one.

Supposedly they were limited to 1,000 units, but I'd be surprised if they made half that many. The funky engraving pattern and gawdy gold inlay ruined them for me - especially for the price they wanted for them. I still see a NIB one come up on Gun Broker every now and then with a starting bid of around $1200. Never gets any bids though.
