Does anyone know of a 68 Anniversary Model 110? I have a 68 110, stock is Birds eye Maplewood. Ihave a friend who has a 1958 Model 110, also made with Birds eye Maplewood. I was thinking. my gun could be a 10th Anniversary. Editions. Thanx

No such thing.

Savage had two premium grade models in 1968 (actually offered from 66-70), the 110P and 110PE. Both featured a California-style French-Walnut stock with Rosewood grip cap and forend tip. The 110PE added detailed engraving on the action, barrel nut, bolt handle, rear baffle, trigger guard and bottom metal, and all the engraved parts were nickel plated.

Also, all factory 110 stocks from 1958 through at least 1979 (last catalog I checked) were either walnut or walnut stained hardwood (maple). The 110E got the stained hardwood, all the other models got walnut. As such its most likely that your stock is an aftermarket replacement. Herter's and Fajen both offered replacement stocks for Savage's back in the day.
