Greetings, New member here! Does anyone know where I can find High Capacity magazines 9 or 10 rounds it seems for the Savage Axis model 11 .243. I have looked all over the internet and can not seem to find any. I am new to the savage and hunting rifles in general.
I have seen a few that I thought would work but the language was a bit confusing and misleading on if it would fit or not. Any help would be great!

is it an Axis or a model 11? it can't be both. that might be one source of your confusion.

Perhaps the OP is referencing the fact that most of the package 11 (XP's) use the same plastic bottom "metal" system as the Axis.
In either case I am unaware of any High Cap mags for that magazine system.

They're out there, but not widely available. There are people on this website making them, I have one for the Axis in 308, it holds 10 rounds and would work just fine with a 243.

Yep, there was another thread about these within the last few months. There's a guy out there that is making them for 223, and I believe he's working on a 308 (which would work for 243).
PM coming.

ahh ok well thank you for the information! As I said I am new to the Savage arms line up and thought this was an Axis. I guess it is just a model 11 .243 My bad. I was originally I guess looking at an axis a while ago and I thought this was an axis as well. I am learning more and more about the Axis every day. I heard good reviews about the model 11, and the axis as well. I went in thinking of buying an Axis and came out with a Model 11. Not sure which is really better. but Either way I am happy. Now I am just ready to try and start modding it.

Huh, I knew there were guys doing for the "Metal" bottom metal but not the plastic style. Learn something everyday.

So since you have a Model 11, I guess now the question is do you have a metal bottom plate on your DBM magazine or a plastic bottom plate?
