just curious if there are any aftermarket options for a savage/stevens200 30-06...or is the factory one just fine?

do folks usually part with the factory barrel? or only after extremely high round counts.

I have a Stevens 200 that I put a 26" heavy varmint 12 twist, and could not be more pleased with the results, although I shoot mostly 110gr - 125gr and 130gr, although i can shoot 175gr if I wanted to.

I believe apache gunworks had a couple of bull 30-06 listed on ebay a few weeks ago. He makes excellent barrels.

+1 with this. Great barrels. Have 3 of his barrels now myself and need to get my 4th in the works.

Don't be like that chopper pilot who said, "I wish I had an Apache." ;)
