Savage 375Ruger

I like stainless/synthetic. I purchase mostly Savage rifles.
I want a 375, but don't want wood stock or blue barrel.

Who has a Savage 116 Bear Hunter in 375 Ruger?
1. How do you like the muzzle brake?
2. Does the brake get stuck?
3. I don't want the brake, can they be ordered without it?
If not, and I got it cut off, would the barrel be 23 inches. IOW, Is the brake included in the barrel length?



Who has the Savage 116 Alaskan Brush Hunter?
1. Is it extremely loud with the shorter 20 inch barrel?
2. How is the recoil with original stock?


If anyone has shot both, which one would you choose for africa hunting for Cape Buffalo?

I have an Alaskan...not that bad in either department.

The large bore tends to have more boom than crack, which feels more like a hard shove. Its like comparing a 12ga crack to a 10ga shove. I don't find either objectionable.
