So not to beat this up too much I'm curious what items (item numbers) will work with the Boyds Thumb Hole stocks? I would really like to use the stainless hardware but would it work without modification? And what black hardware would not require modification? Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Hi Clint,

This is the guard I used on my Prairie Hunter Boyd's stock... http://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=634133&CAT=3602 The one listed is a silver toned aluminum guard. (I actually used a black anodized one.) My only issue was the rear of the guard has a rather distinct downward curve. The Boyd's stock I recieved has a flat cutout for the TG. The width was perfect as was the screw hole spacing. My solution was a somewhat thick washer under the rear screw hole.

I don't have a BMAG, so no real input for you, sorry.

But, speaking for DIP as a company. They are awesome! Got my Mod 64 tricked out with their Charging Handle and Slip-On Rail. I'll buy from them again if/when they make Bottom Metal Kits for it.
If only they would've sent me a sticker or two...
