Check out the post I made about the recent Rifleshooter article about the Win .17 WSM. Jon Sundra (a great writer I have followed for years) was pretty disappointed in the rifle's accuracy.
My hb ss bMag shoots great. A fluke? ha ha

i just picked my HB Bmag up a few days ago and have been to the range once with it so far. in ohio the weather is a little brutal right now and thats the reason ive only sent 24 rounds down range so far haha. i threw a mueler eraticator on it and boar sighted quite nicely. i was hitting steel gongs at a bit over 100yds with no issue whatsoever. im assuming the accuracy problems and stock problems are just an unfortunate oversight in quality control on savage' end. im planning on ordering a boyds thumbhole stock in the next day or two and hopefully i still love the rifle as much as i currently do haha! my only question/concern is the barrel not being threaded, i suppose im a rookie when it comes to smithing of most kinds so if this is an easy thing to take care of i apologize for my inquiry. id love to add a brake or suppressor to this guy and i think itd be perfect. has anyone tried or seen anything about threading the barrel?

jdunn, wouldn't think when its striped that there would be much of a problem putting the action and barrel thru a lathe spindle to cut threads unless the lathe has a real small spindle.
