Anyone used this Barnaul steel case 168gn ammo from Russia? I can get it here is Australia for $75/100, but I also know you get what you pay for and I'm not willing to use crap ammo in my 10FP or my Axis for that matter....I've read mixed messages so far.
Any reviews?? Opinions??

It's cheap plinking ammo for certain. Remember that and you really have no gripes or questions.
I've shot a boatload in my FP over the years, powder trends to be very dirty.
Been several shootouts comparing this and other ammo, with barrel and throat wear comparisons in an AR system.

I shot Barnaul in my CETME. It went bang every time and was OK in accuracy. I am not a big fan of the Russian stuff. I have read some things about the wear on the AR system as well. Maybe the same article, dunno.

I only shoot com bloc ammo in my commie guns. Not that you can't shoot it in other weapons, I just don't like to.

If you can find it--atomic 308 loaded with nosler custom comp shoots outstandingly well for a budget bulk ammo--through all of my 308 platforms, though it helps to clean it a bit.
